Basketball season is in full swing here at VCU and WVCW is looking for help in covering it all. Our Sports Department has many positions available for the spring semester covering all sports at VCU.
If you have an interest in sports, and have a desire to work in radio, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Simply contact our Sports Director, Aaron Brunk (sports@wvcw.org) for more info on how to get involved.
There will be a new interest meeting on Monday, August 31st, 8pm, in the Student Media Center at 817 W Broad St. We will be discussing how you can become involved with WVCW, as well as Dash from the Sludge Nation on y101 will be our guest speaker.
If you’d like to become involved but can’t make the meeting, please contact Mark Turner or Fiona Jones to help us with music review or station promotions, respectively.
We have a meeting tonight open to all students and faculty. All staff are required to attend. There are many new opportunities we have to talk about.

We will be having a guest speaker. Kevin Connors, an alum of WJRB (old WVCW), will be talking to you about what’s so great about college radio and all you weird assholes out there. It’s going to be good, so I suggest you come. Oh, and it’s mandatory for all staff that wish to return.
