<p>Check out Strange Matter TODAY as Jacob McFadden, on-air personality here at WVCW, is out with the VCU Fight Club as they participate in a video game tournament in the popular side-scrolling fighter Street Fighter IV!</p>
<p>The action will be going down at Strange Matter right on Broad Street and everyone is encouraged to attend and check out the action.</p>
<p>Other WVCW DJ&#8217;s will be live, giving you updates on the action at Strange Matter as the tournament unfolds. There may be a raffle for a prize of some sort from WVCW but, that is for us to know and you to find out and the only way to find out is by going to Strange Matter TODAY for the tournment!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tonight was the first time in at least a decade that VCU&#8217;s President has come on air for a live discussion on important topics relating to the whole university. Dr. Michael Rao answered several questions posed by both the VCU News Room host, Michael Campbell, and those posed by members of the university.</p>
<p>To the budget, he acknowledged that because we&#8217;re faced with a $42 million dollar shortfall in appropriations, as well as have the lowest percentage of student financial aid available amongst Virginia public institutions, the only way out is to raise tuition rates as well as fund-raise outside of the university.</p>
<p>In turn, he also hopes to restore many more courses, and widen the availability of courses still offered. He also sees the opportunity for university technology departments to grow significantly in the services they provide, while at the same time increasing facilities construction and renovation only as needed.</p>
