The group donated their time before a show at The National to support a candidate they truly believe in. Local band Black Girls opened for the group at The National and The Head and the Heart continued their tour today with a stop in Savannah. I sat down with the band for a short interview and recorded their set. I was also lucky to speak with VCU student and campaign co-chair Sai Ayer.

Although Sisk generally plays in bands (Nick Coward & the Last Battle, Rattlemouth) she occasionally performs solo armed with her electric cello, loop pedal, and fx stop boxes.

We particularly enjoyed her version of Caetano Veloso’s Maria Bethania and have it for you here. Full episode will be posted shortly so Come Back!!
