News Headlines March 15, 2019

This morning at least 49 people were killed in mass shootings at two Christchurch, New Zealand mosques, police say worshippers were attending Friday prayers. One man has been arrested and charged with murder in what police are saying appears to be a premeditated attack. Police also defused explosive devices in a car, and held two other suspects in custody.

VCU Men’s Basketball is in Brooklyn, NY today in their hunt for an A-10 Championship. They play Rhode Island at noon.

Richmond is going green for St. Patrick’s Day with Shamrock the Block, St. Patties Street Festival, the Shockoe Bottom Blarney Bash all going on this weekend. Bring out your green and cloverleaf sunglasses and enjoy yourself! 

Strawberry Street Café is up for sale, and after 43 years of business, the famous bathtub will make its final brunch debut. The Fan restaurant will close on March 31,  and is currently listed for $1.3 million dollars.
