News headlines for September 21

A number of adjunct professors at VCU could be taking a new step to fight what they say is unfair pay from the university.

At a meeting yesterday, the group VCU Adjuncts For Fair Pay discussed the possibility of unionizing to fight against a minimum thousand dollar per credit hour salary. Which they say, doesn’t pay the professors their full value.

Campus police are investigating a sexual assault incident that happened Saturday. In an alert sent out to students, police said the incident happened in a residence hall and police were notified Wednesday.

The police said the victim knew the suspect.

And officials reminded students of the resources available if they or someone they know has been assaulted.

Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when the pair were in high school says she’s willing to testify before congress on the matter.

While Kavanaugh, who denies the allegation, also says he would be willing to testify, as the issue continues to spur a broader national discussion about allegations of sexual assault.
