Richmond, Va., – The United States took first and second place in the Women’s Junior Individual Time Trial of the UCI Road World Championships. “Honestly, it’s just another race I think,” Dygert said. “I’m really happy that my teammate Emma and I go one-two in the states. It’s awesome and I’m really happy about that”

White said that she felt good throughout the race as she credited her and Dygert’s success to USA Cycling.

“It’s been huge having their help and my coach Kirsten Armstrong has been huge for my development the last couple of years,” White said. “I went into it [the race] with all the preparation I could have and we left it all out there.”

The two women will race again on Friday in the Women’s Junior Road Race. The race women will bike four miles that will go through the Downtown Richmond, Shockoe Bottom, VCU, and the University of Richmond and will span over 40 miles.
