With the home-field advantage in Richmond, Virginia VCU keeps their number 1 spot on the Atlantic 10 standings. The Patriots ended the game-tying for the fifth position in the conference with Saint Louis. Coming into the game the Rams had already outscored three teams 2-0. Currently, the Rams are undefeated versus each Atlantic 10 opponent they have faced.

From the beginning of the game, the Rams began attacking the patriot’s goal. Sophomore Simon Fitch scored a goal that was eventually removed of stats because of ref’s offside ruling.

Midway through the first half of the game with 22 minutes ran down Eli Lockaby sends an assist to Jared Greene, 6 yards into the left side of the box Greene shoots and scores a goal for the rams 1-0.

Late in the first period of the game with 44 minutes ran down Simon Fitch scores his first goal of the season assisted by a free kick from Siad Haj 2-0.

The Rams ended the game 9-4-1 overall and, 5-0 for the conference. The Patriots ended the game 5-7 overall and 3-3 for the conference.

The Rams travel one more time for the season on October 27 to face Dayton University in Ohio.
